Caravan/Holiday Parks

There are several caravan/holiday parks around Talland Bay but the most centrally situated one (Talland Caravan Park) has now closed down (Autumn 2007) and is being redeveloped as an up-market Holiday Village with luxurious modern houses for sale at between £280,000 to £350,000. It will eventually be possible to rent some of these houses for holidays, but this will probably not be until mid to late 2009.

As elsewhere in Cornwall, it is the caravan sites and holiday parks which mar the views of beautiful and, allegedly, protected landscapes.
Despite official designation of the coastal strip, including Talland Bay, as Heritage Coast and as part of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - just about the highest level of landscape quality and protection in the UK, serried ranks of mainly white caravans form blots on far too much of the coastal scenery.
